Last September I bought around 150 Monkey Puzzle seeds. These were pretty easy to germinate, all I did was:-
1 – soak them in water for 24 hours
2 – Planted them about 1 cm deep in John Innes number 2 soil in 7 cm pots
3 – watered them occasionally
Around 140 of them have germinated and are growing very happily, here are some pictures that were taken around 9 months after first putting them into soil: -

what a really good little site,came accross you from david(diabigboots)i myself am growing a lot of monkey puzzle trees,although i have a plan on what to do with them,hopefully soon i will be moving into a small ish bungalow but will have no mortgage i will then be looking to buy a small woods(have seen a few nearby to me for sale recently)then im going to start my planting of the woods,after of course getting a covenant on the woods to stop anyone ever building on it.think in total ive bought about 500 seeds this year,if you get in touch with me i shall let you know of my progress,photos,good to see someone else who is pasionate about these trees,marke
